Path of Exile Item Upgrading

item upgrading (read more on Pdc`s official blog) allows players to upgrade their weapons and equipment with new affixes, boosting its stats base or giving additional benefits. To upgrade an item, the player needs to have it in their inventory as well as access to the kiln.

Typically, items that have weak bases (like rings) can be upgraded to a more powerful base, while objects with strong bases, such as eth titans aren't affected significantly in their stats after being upgraded.

Upgrade components

Upgrade components are items that can be incorporated into trinkets, weapons, armor and gathering tools, providing an attribute bonus or additional effect when the equipment is being used. They can be purchased from vendors, found in loot, dropped by enemies, or obtained as a reward for missions or chests. Certain upgrades also have cosmetic effects. Most upgrades require the equipment to be above a certain level before they are upgraded.

To upgrade a weapon, armor or other item in the game, the player will need to select it and click the Upgrade button on the toolbar. This will show a preview on the right side of the screen that shows what the expected upgrade stats will be, as well as the required element or material required to make that happen.

There are three types of upgrade components including universal upgrades, prefix upgrades and suffix upgrades. Universal upgrades, like gems, are able to be used on any kind of equipment. Leveling

Path of Exile's upgrade system differs from previous versions in several important ways. Gear is now categorised in tracks and each item can be upgraded as many times before it's "leveled out." The costs for upgrading increase with each level, but the materials required do not. This allows players to concentrate their efforts on a select few items and maximize the impact of those items, instead of dispersing upgrade costs across multiple pieces.

When an item is completed, it will be eligible for a new set of upgrade components, as well as an increase in the likelihood that the upgrade will succeed. This bonus is referred to as the Artisan's Energy, and it will reset to zero after failure or increases if the upgrade succeeds.

Once a piece of gear is upgraded to its highest level it is able to gain affixes which will increase its features. The number of affixes available is determined by the item's type. Rerolling refers to the process of changing an item upgrades's upgrade components. Sets
