World of Warcraft Item Upgrade and Set Bonuses

These materials are renamed when the item is upgraded, for example Stone Fragments become Stones and Harmony Shards become Life Shards.

It is important to Upgrade Item items in order to increase the performance of a character. However it is equally important to consider how much this will cost. Every time an item is upgraded, the upgrade costs an amount of gold that could be better used on an entirely new piece of equipment. This cost is the reason why it is recommended to only upgrade the most important items in any given circumstance.

Players can also use an additional mechanic, Eliminate, to eliminate any level Up option they have on their equipment or weapons. Sets can be used in various ways, including arranging music on a list of play lists or classifying students based on their grades.

In Nioh, the game uses sets to offer special effects to players when they wear specific pieces of an Armor Set. These bonuses are known as Set Bonuses and they are superior to Effects. While it is not explained in the universe why armor sets have to be worn together to produce these effects, they can provide a nice change of pace when playing the game. The armor sets with Set Bonuses can be found many locations in Hyrule, such as the Dark Moon Temple and Twilight Temple.

Set Bonuses are a part of each piece of equipment within the Set. You can determine the ones you are looking for by hovering over the item and looking at the tooltip, near the bottom. The Set Bonuses will appear in a red box.

Some of these set bonuses are only available for certain equipment. For example, if you equip the full Phantom Armor set you will receive +8 defense (compared to the usual +3 defense that comes with the majority of gear). Other sets can only be obtained through specific quests or by purchasing them at the Auction House.

It is possible to receive Set Bonuses on multiple pieces of equipment simultaneously. For instance, if you own the entire Kestra's Descent set and the matching parts of the Twinblade of Shadow you will be eligible for the + version the set's bonus if you soul be able to match it.

Unlike Effects which change every time you upgrade them Set Bonuses stay identical even as the pieces of equipment they are connected to rise. If an item upgrading is exemplarized too low, then the set bonus will not be effective.

As set bonuses only affect the shell of an equipment (not the armoring, mod or enhancement) You must be aware of where you place them.

It is important to note that the value of a set's bonus will not change even if your exemplar is higher than three levels lower than the minimum level that is allowed for an enhancement. This rule is not applicable to Purple (Very rare) Sets PvP Sets, Sets for PvP and Archetype Origin Sets. Their set bonuses will be in effect regardless of exemplar level.
