WoW Upgrades - The Item Upgrader

Upgrades give you an increase in certain statistics. Each upgrade increases the level of an item by +3. A random additional substat is also added to every upgrade.

The upgraded gear is usually more valuable, unless it has low requirements by nature (like FB sorc shields) or has a high variance in stats (like Eth Titan weapons). Upgrades are not as useful for those with lower requirements due to the requirement to roll a perfect version.

Recycle Points

The item upgrader lets players upgrade their gear by transferring the currency to an NPC. Upgrades can be applied on any kind of armor or weapons. However, the item upgrading used for the upgrade will be consumed for the duration of time and can't be used again. Upgrades can be applied to the enchantments.

You can upgrade your gear anytime by visiting the upgrader in any major city. To ensure that your equipment is up-to-date, it is recommended that you visit the upgrader every few weeks.

Upgrades will cost more depending on the level of the item, but they will always be cheaper than buying new gear. Upgrades such as upgrading a Benthic chest to the level of ilvl385 will cost you 20 recycle points. A similar item level upgrade will cost you 105.

Valorstones

Upgrades are items that can be used for weapons, armor, tools and accessory upgrades. They can be purchased through NPCs who sell upgrades to item owners for a variety of currencies. They are also available on random treasure lists. Once purchased, an upgrade can be used on any weapon, tool or armor. button, which will display an image of the item when it is upgraded when the player has enough materials.

Upgrade costs differ based on the slot of the item and the current level of the Item Level Upgrade. For instance weapons cost more than bracers, or gloves. Each step costs 15 Flightstones plus a certain number of crests. Some upgrades offer discounts on Flightstones. After an item has been upgraded to a certain degree it is able to be degraded and returned to the upgrader for a lower amount of both currencies.

Upgraders for items can be found at many locations including the main island, as well as a few outposts. The NPCs provide both an upgrade discount and a chance to acquire a new upgrade recipe. The upgrade discount increases as more items are upgraded. It can be increased if players complete certain achievements or quests.
